My name is Ahmad Zhaki Abdullah.
I’m a journalist with The Straits Times, the English language flagship daily of Singapore Press Holdings. Since 2016, I’ve been on the transport beat, covering everything from taxis to trains in Singapore’s rapidly changing transit landscape.
I’m also a columnist with ST, writing for the weekly parenting column and #opinionoftheday, the column for the paper’s younger reporters.
I’ve also had prior experience writing corporate collateral such as brochures and annual reports, as well pieces on lifestyle and Islam in Singapore.
I have been married to the most beautiful woman in the world as of June 2011, and we live together in the eastern side of Singapore. We welcomed our first child, a healthy baby boy, into the world in April 2013.
I holds a bachelors degree in English Literature from Goldsmiths’ College, University of London.
