About me

Hello, my name is Zhaki Abdullah.

I’m a journalist living in Singapore. Since 2015 I have been with The Straits Times , where I cover the transport beat, following up on the latest developments on everything from taxis to trains in Singapore’s rapidly changing transit landscape.

I’m also a columnist with ST, having written for the weekly parenting column and #opinionoftheday, the column for the paper’s  younger reporters.

I’ve also had prior experience writing corporate collateral such as brochures and annual reports, as well pieces on lifestyle and Islam in Singapore.

I have been married to the most beautiful woman in the world as of June 2011, and we have two children together.

I holds a bachelors degree in English Literature from Goldsmiths, University of London.
