Hi, I’m Zhaki. I’m a journalist with more than a decade of experience in the Singaporean news industry.
I am currently a correspondent with national broadsheet The Straits Times, where I first started my career in the media in 2015. Between 2019 and 2022, I was a senior journalist with the digital team of regional news outlet CNA.
My focus has largely been on Singapore, where I was born and raised.
After six years covering the country’s transport sector, my focus is now on its healthcare scene, while also occasionally covering Muslim affairs, science, the environment and the tech sector.
A geriatric millennial, I graduated with a Bachelors in English and live in Singapore with my wife and two children.
